Ska 80 – Magazine – a document from the 2 Tone days you have not seen
These are exciting times for Ska people. Especially for the ones who like to look back on the golden days of the 2 Tone era. The Specials are causing a stir in the US with their 30th Anniversary Tour, as Marco On The Bass reports, while the UK sees the opening of the first 2 Tone museum.
I like to take the opportunity to share with you the first issue of the British magazine “Ska 80”. I have no idea how successful and long going this magazine was and have never seen a second issue. So you are probably looking at a rarity. If you click on the pictures, you get the chance to magnify them and the text should become readable.
Apart from the usual suspects like The Specials, Madness, The Beat and The Selecter, there are also other great bands like UB 40 and Dexy’s Midnight Runners included here. Enjoy, share and sign up for the newsletter if you will.
